Hortica Announces New Board Member |

Hortica Insurance & Employee Benefits, specialists in providing business insurance, employee benefits and personal insurance to the horticultural industry since 1887, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cornelis (Cees) Boonman its board of directors.
A native of the Netherlands, Boonman joined Chicago-based Ball Horticultural Company in 1994 and is currently in charge of Ball Seed, leader in distribution of ornamental seeds and plants. He also heads the wholesale distribution divisions of Ball in
Latin America and serves as a member of the Ball Horticultural Company’s board of directors.
Prior to joining Ball, Boonman held several senior management positions with leading firms in the vegetable seed industry, including general management roles in European markets as well as the U.S. He earned a master’s degree in international business from Catholic University in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
