Hortica Insurance & Employee Benefits has announced the appointment of Joe Brown as a senior account executive for Indiana and northern Kentucky.

Brown has a total of 16 years in the insurance business. Before coming to Hortica in January 2010, he managed large commercial accounts for two years at an independent agency, Gregory & Appel Insurance. Prior to that for eight years Brown worked at Zurich Direct in the Automotive Specialty Market. Brown graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Telecommunications. He currently lives in Carmel, Indiana with his wife, daughter and son.
